Duarte's Peak

This is the highest place in the entire Antillean Archipelago. Has an elevation of 3087 meters. It is an excelent place for alpinism and excusions.

Los Haitises

This region has been declared as National Park and natural sanctuary by the Dominican government. It features a great variety of flora and fauna hosted in a virgin environment.

 

Santo Domingo Cathedral

Also called "America's primate cathedral" because it was the first religious monument of its kind built in America. It has been declared as a 'cultural patrimony of humanity'. Here lie the mortal remains of the admiral Cristopher Columbus.

Saona Island

Declared as a National Park. This little and beautiful island is a very attractive, mainly because of its white sand and crystal clear water.
